![]() While Flickr is finally giving Android a little bit of love, it seems that Photo Session will only work on iOS for mobile devices - though assumedly if your browser handles Flash, you might be able to get in that way. Anyone can watch the show, but in order to interact, you’ll need to sign in with either a Yahoo! ID or Open ID. You can have up to 10 people at a time in the session, and users will have to use Chrome, Safari or Firefox - sorry anyone still stuck on IE. To address many of this simple control’s limitations we debuted a Flash-based file uploader in 2008. This plops the old standby file button on your page and POST s the file’s contents to your server upon form submission. The other new feature is Photo Session, which allows you to beam a slideshow to a select bunch of friends, and you can all look at the photos together, comment over chat and scribble over the images. The oldest and most low-tech solution is the venerable .Apparently it doesn’t work on tablets, doesn’t allow for viewing of Flickr groups, creating of sets or albums, or uploading multiple images, all of which are features that desktop users have come to expect. However, looking over reviews for the software, it seems opinions are mixed. my code on selecting the video file is opening it where as i want to upload it on flickr.anyone knowing the and please do reply. You millions of Android users can now snap photos from your phones and upload them directly to your Flickr account, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or send it out via email. But at least there’s an active community forum that you can use to discuss problems.Flickr’s finally branched beyond iOS, and put out an official app for Android. In saying that, you can contact the support team via Flickr’s Twitter profile.Īdditionally, there is a selection of self-help resources, but they are neither as useful nor as plentiful as we would have liked. All users can contact the support team via the online contact form, but there is a notable absence of live chat or phone support. Unfortunately, Flickr’s support services aren’t nearly as good as they could be. I used SO MUCH data over the weekend and now hoping not to have big data fees. I close out and log out of Flickr.and then it starts at one again scanning all 2700 of my photos and videos. If you just want to use the platform for pure cloud storage, simply set your files to private. Flickr issues on iPhone 6: 1) Uploads photos fine but only SOME of the videos. ![]() There have always been brave women turning anger into political action, but patriarchal forces have derided and suppressed these movements as much as possible. In her book, Traister looks back much further than 2016 to the women whose anger has influenced movements throughout history, such as those who fought for fair-labor practices during the Industrial Revolution and the Black women who led the anti-lynching movement. Rebecca Traister examines this topic in her book Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women’s Anger, published in October 2018. Many people view this moment as a turning point, and a time in which people are beginning to take women’s anger seriously. Women have taken to the streets to protest the racist immigration policies and stormed the United States Capitol building in defense of survivor Christine Blasey-Ford. How you answer those questions will give you the information you need to act in a way that is empathic and authentic.Between the now-annual Women’s March, #MeToo, and a number of groundbreaking elections of women into office, women’s anger has begun to make headlines. When you notice anger rising after being insulted or receiving unfair treatment, the questions McLaren suggests to ask yourself are “what must be protected?” and “what must be restored?” She recommends taking a middle path called “channeling”, which means slowing down to listen to your emotions and then “completing the actions your emotions require so that they can recede naturally and gracefully”. On the other hand, unhealthy anger expression, such as “exploding”, can lead to damaging relationships with others. According to McLaren, suppressing anger leads to poorly defined boundaries between yourself and others. She writes that anger’s job is like an “honorable sentry” who helps set effective interpersonal boundaries and maintain a sense of justice for yourself and for others. Karla McLaren, author and researcher, says that, when we work with anger, it can be our ally and help us become more authentically ourselves. Salerno and Peter-Hagene’s study as well as Thomas’s 15 years of research suggest a need for both the broader society as well as women specifically to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of anger. It is not surprising, then, that few participants reported having female role models who expressed anger in healthy ways. Instead, the women would ruminate on their anger, leading to more resentment. Thomas found that only 9% of women reported that they would express anger to the person making them angry. The women wanted – they wanted the people they cared about to show the same care for them. The women in Thomas’s study expressed that anger is a confusing mix of feelings, and deeply connected with hurt, sadness and disillusionment. Thomas (2010) found that most women’s anger was related to “interpersonal interactions in which others deny women power or resources, treat them unjustly or behave irresponsibly toward them”. Sandra Thomas, researcher at University of Tennessee-Knoxville, spent 15 years studying women’s anger among Caucasian and African American women in the U.S., as well as women in Turkey and France, and asked the following questions. It is unclear why people perceive anger differently in men and women, but it is clear that there is a difference to the disadvantage of women. ![]() The Orgasm Gap and What it Means for WomenĪccording to Salerno and Peter-Hagene (2015), these findings suggest that expressing anger can lead men to gain influence over others, but lead women to lose influence. This happened even though the male and female holdouts made identical arguments. However, when the female holdouts expressed anger, the participant became significantly more confident in his or her opinion. ![]() When the male holdouts expressed anger in the online conversation, the research participant showed less confidence in his or her opinion. In the scenario, one of the jurors (either male or female), called the “holdout”, would disagree with the participant’s opinion while the other four would agree. They had 210 undergraduate students participate in a computerized mock-jury simulation with a five other “jurors”. It also appears to have a large divide in gender socialization.Īrizona State University and the University of Chicago conducted a study to assess how people perceive anger in women versus anger in men. What comes to your mind when you think of an angry man? Powerful? Intimidating? Persuasive? How about an angry woman? Emotional? Hysterical? Bitchy? Anger is one of those emotions that be challenging to express. Navigating Separation, Divorce and Blended Families. If you happen to have a decent amount of credits, but not enough for the real thing, you could purchase a vibrosword. These weapons, which utilize an electrically charged blade, are the only swords that can stand up against a lightsaber. If you’ve seen the newest Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi, you’ve seen the red-clad Praetorian Guard fight a wicked battle using vibroswords. In fact, most young Jedi have to construct their own lightsabers as a ritualistic rite of passage. When Anakin Skywalker loses a lightsaber, he doesn’t settle for a blaster pistol, he immediately finds or procures a brand new lightsaber. A cold site, like a blaster, is perfect for those who need something affordable that will do the trick – albeit sans all bells, whistles. If your office is hit with a disaster, you can choose a cold site to get back to business, but this is definitely the bare bones approach.Ī cold site will most likely have only space, power, and utilities. This is the same concept as a cold recovery site. With a few extra credits and some elbow grease, it can easily be modified to meet your specific needs. If you’re limited on funds, you’ll probably want to opt for a good old-fashioned blaster.Ī blaster is nothing like the graceful lightsaber, but at the very bare minimum it will get the job done. In fact, though, it’s a standard A4 printer, with a 125-sheet tray topped off by a 20-sheet photo tray, which powers into the machine when photo print is selected.
